Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy of ELİN A.Ş.
Purpose Established to foster a workplace culture that champions equality, diversity, and inclusion, our purpose is to cultivate an environment where individuals feel valued and a sense of belonging achieved through equitable treatment, equal opportunities, and without discrimination based on differences including religion, language, race, gender, disability, and culture.
Scope This policy, which has been established within the scope of the principle of equality, diversity, and inclusion, covers all employees, including the senior management of Elin A.Ş. and its subsidiaries, as well as the business partners, customers, suppliers, etc. with whom we are engaged in interaction.
Implementation The understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusivity are upheld in all processes, particularly in Leadership/Ethics/Personal rights, working conditions/Suggestions, complaints, feedback/Discipline/Recruitment /Promotion/dismissal/ Performance evaluation, and rewarding/ Gender equality/ Equal opportunity/Choices for training and personal development or other development opportunities.
We commit to preventing human rights violations in line with the United Nations Global Compact and The Principles of Human Rights Guidance and we also commit to taking necessary actions when faced with such situations.
Our main principles in all areas we operate in line with our policy;
- Equal opportunities; With the principle that every individual should have equal opportunities, we support the equal evaluation of everyone in terms of recruitment, promotion, training, and other opportunities in line with their talents and potential. We support a culture of equal opportunity based on competence, experience, and performance in all positions and strive for diversity
- Salary equality; We aim to ensure equal pay for equal work for everyone who performs the same work and has the same skills, without discrimination on gender, race, ethnicity, or other personal characteristics
- Training and development: We support the training and development journeys of our employees through Elin Academy, which we developed with the principle that each employee should have access to equal opportunities to fully develop their talents and potential and advance in their careers.
- Workplace culture: We ensure that policies and processes are applied fairly in the workplace and that everyone feels that they have equal rights, and we support employees to freely express their opinions, make suggestions, and contribute to decisions. It is our priority to work with values such as respect, tolerance, equality, and diversity in all our activities.
- Communication: We promote tolerance between people with different characteristics, individual and cultural backgrounds, and encourage fair interaction by avoiding prejudices and opposing discriminatory language and behavior in all communication processes.
- Land, Forest, and Water Rights and Forced Eviction: Land, forests, and water resources are critical for ecosystem health, and our policy is based on the sustainable use and conservation of these resources. Our company ensures non-participation in any form of displacement of individuals from their lands through its activities.
- Rights of Minorities and Indigenous People: The cultural identities and language rights of minorities and indigenous peoples are protected. While carrying out our activities, we uphold and respect the rights of indigenous peoples and minorities. Cultural and language rights are secured via education, media, and cultural activities.
- Use of Private or Public Security Forces: Measures have been taken to ensure that our security services operate with respect for human rights and that legal sanctions are in line with international norms and standards. Security personnel (whether employed or contracted) are trained in human rights standards and security procedures concerning complaints, which are independently identified and investigated. We show the necessary diligence to ensure non-participation in human rights violations committed by public security forces, not to facilitate them, and not to benefit from them.
Notification of Violations: The Ethics Committee is responsible for the confidential and secure evaluation of reports of violations, based on the principles of impartiality and independence. Notifications can be sent to the etik@elinholding-usa.com.
